What is your holy grail? Every collector has their own favorite area that they focus on. Whether you are a collector of vintage dolls, a collectible Barbie Doll collector, or both, two of the most sought dolls may be a perfect Barbie from 1959 or a City Smart Silkstone Barbie Doll.

In the United Kingdom it appeared that a 1965 Barbie in Midnight Red was someone's Holy Grail. It sold for $17,000 on September 26, 2006. The latest most expensive doll sold on eBay recently was a #1 1959 Vintage Blonde Ponytail for $5,799 and it was from a local Kansas City man's collection. These types of dolls are so expensive because of their rarity.

The most valuable and rarest finds we currently have would be our Paris Convention Barbie Dolls from 2005 and 2006, Platinum Label Brunette Faerie Queen (Legends of Ireland Series), Bob Mackie Collector Neptune Barbie Doll with Shipper and the Platinum Label African American Nurse Barbie Doll. Since Mattel makes 1000 or less of Platinum Label Barbie dolls they are harder to find.

The other most valuable and rarest finds we currently have that are not for sale would be Diamonds and Dolls OOAK - "one of a kind" Barbie dolls that they purchased throughout their collecting career. Miss Alice Spackman (Diamonds and Dolls creator) owns the first and only African American porcelain Barbie Doll ever created.
